When Hope Valley School was a junior high, they had music class and penmanship, and grades 7-10 had domestic science for girls and manual training for boys. Domestic science was cooking and sewing and manual training was things like woodworking. If you lived a mile away or more, you were rode the bus and if you lived within a mile you walked to school.
