Hawks will usually live for twenty years. We also have many ways that we potect ourselves.. I’ll tell them to you. First, we can fly one hundred feet up in the air. That’s higher than a palm tree. Wow! Next, we have amazing eyesight that can see one thousand feet away! Pretty cool right? Hawks can also fly for hours. Isn't that awesome? Lastly, we have very sharp talons that can be used as a defensive weapon. But, a hawk's talons are you are mostly used for hunting. Our talons are kind of like spears. We're like the Native Americans! Our Hunting, Tools, And Eyesight Hawky Talky is back to tell you about a hawk’s hunting tools and eyesight. As you should know from one of my previous blogs, a hunting red-tailed hawk can see one thousand feet away, and we can see a special range of colors that humans cannot see. We also have a sharp beak and sharp talons that are used for hunting and protection. Also, we can fly up one hundred feet off the ground. Then we dive down really fast and strike. But before I strike, I sit on a perch two hundred feet above the ground and scan for my prey. That’s a wrap for this blog. See you next time!
