What do you get when 2nd graders in Mrs. Mello's class use the Ozobots? Neighborhood maps! Students created a map and programmed the tiny robots to go from Hope Valley Elementary to their house. This project included direction words, using Google Maps to get the directions and lots of "debugging"- a term we learned in coding when there is a problem that needs to be fixed in a program. Students needed to label the roads and write the codes for the Ozobot to follow in order to be successful in getting to his/her home. Mrs. Mello and Mrs. Ward collaborated in this fun coding lesson and we think you will find the final products on the "Main Streets" of learning!
